Face this problem for 2 days. The selection screen opens, but there is neither a list of players nor a response from the game when selecting a specific character. Also, after the timer comes to an end and the cut-scene starts, if you press Esc you will be stuck in this menu, and when the cut-scene is over, the last sounds from It will start to repeat endlessly. The only thing that helped me in this situation, it is possible to get out of session, being stuck after pressing Esc and go again while starting to play as a character, which the game decided to give yourself. :-X :-\
