Spacelords Universe / Hades Speculation!!
 on: March 16, 2018, 10:32:28 PM
WEWT, Two weeks is too far not to speculate, so lets do this.

What is level based on?  (Collectibles or experience gathered?)

Ayana has to move to build up her special, and gets to tug when the tension bar is full.  So, that's cool.  We can assume the video showed us her base gun, what will her other guns be like?  (Definitely hoping there is an explode on contact version/card)

Schnider.  Bratty Kid.  Looks like his mooks shoot at the location he does.  Looks like he might call small airstrikes as his ability/or summon more mooks.  Probably Krauser's Kid.  Probably the kid in Mikah's Lore segment.

Card System!  So you unlock these cards or the card slots just by leveling up.  That's kinda cool.  Though it does limit things rather heavily if it is exp based.  THOUGH it may be collectible based and this will incentive getting to 35-40 with just the purchase of all 3 campaigns.  Sales incentive.

Dunno what rolling is going to look like, hoping you get to pick cards if you actually have to work to unlock them outside of acquiring currencies.  (Hopefully with the upgrade system there will be a means of upgrading your cards to rare variants outside of rolling.)

GUNS!: The moment I've been waiting for, and I presume everyone who has played this for a month/ish.  How is this going to work?  So,  I am guessing that the Affinity bit is established on the blueprint if you pick it up while antagonizing/raiding OR in 4v1 or PVE mode.

Looks like it'll require a blueprint PER upgrade.  (So, drop rates will hopefully be much higher.)  Upgrades will have an upper limit, we presume, and will provide negligible boosts per, but with heavy investment will stack up to noticeable damage which can be combined with cards.

I'm psyched. These are all my notions of what the game will be come the 4th. (Or possibly the 1st as an April Fool's Gift.) (Though that's not likely cause updates usually come through on Wednesday, and Wednesday is the 4th)

Hero Killer = Elite/Player Damage
Extermination = Mook Killer
Lethality = Damage to Wounded Targets
Treaure Hunter = Increased Drop Rate of Rare Loot

So, these are my suppositions.  What do you  guys think?

Fan Corner / Iune Really Short Story? Rough Rough
 on: March 08, 2018, 10:24:52 PM
She was never alone.  Not on her Broken Planet. Not when Aleph flowed through every surface.  Aleph was not some mystical fuel that provided these aliens with the ability to get to her home, nor was it a mystical substance that allowed amazing feats of strength.  It was life.  It felt and moved and flowed, it was what helped direct her through time to confront the Uras, didn't it? It was what led her to Harec and the Raiders.  It had its own volition and it was, most probably, Iune's closest friend.
Aleph, by the way of the Distant Ones, and Iune spoke frequently, even if it did draw confused or distressed looks from her new corporeal companions. They had met Aleph, they had intermingled and been lended its strength, how did the group not feel Aleph's presence as she did? Even the others of her race had trouble understanding her feelings about the substance, but she had never really came in strong on the argumentation. They would rabble and rail against themsleves until they sorted the arrangements.  Aleph would direct them, even as they found themselves in conflict with their more primitive and natural urges.  Humans were interesting enough. Like the Carthail Hounds that could be seen in the wilds near where she once lived.  (I envision something the size of a small bear, omnivorous, similar in size and shape to the Acolytes but living instead of uras creations.) They had very little forethought and overtuned aggression.  Their entire existence seemed to be climbing up through the pecking order by whatever means necessary.

Harec, had somehow tamed so many of them, and set them against the yolk, to actually get some work done for the betterment of everyone involved. It was admirable, it was that trait that had drawn her vision in the darkness, that made her hope that they could be saved from the devestation the Uras implicitly threatened to unleash upon the universe.
The rag tag crew was a perfect example of Aleph's charisma.  Each of their lives diverted towards this cause.  Doldren was a terrorizing menace, but found himself working with others on Aleph's behalf.  Iune's sanity might have been slipping, but she could 'smell' the cruelty dripping from his pores. He was self-entitled. He felt that he deserved life itself, and that was the quality that had driven his rapacious appetite for death.  He had been born the weaker of two brothers, and his insecurity had driven this conversion into cruelty.  Beings had become whet stones whose only use was to sharpen his abilities. He no longer even felt empathy or compassion, where he might have..at some time.  Iune could hear the Distant Ones' warning about Doldren's predilection, but if it came to it in the end, she would flood his mind with her own will, if only she could maintain her sanity in the mean time.

She had worried she'd have to overwrite the will of many of the crew when first she had arrived, but Aleph had swayed them, they were even friends...for the most part. That was what showing teeth with raised cheeks meant again, wasn't it?  The eyebrows gave something else away...wide or furrowed. They thought her a lunatic? No. They knew she was a lunatic. She wasn't though, not really. It was just really difficult to communicate when she could not hear herself through the chorus of voices in her ears. There was Doldren's sneer.  She had been thinking about ...what was it again?  People?  Murderer. Group. Aleph's Will.  Harec.  Oh yes.  Oh yes.
Even the beastial HIVE had been swayed by Aleph's will.  There the Distant Ones were ominously quiet, but the Distant Ones were capricious often saying things that were obviously unfolding. Iune felt this as attempted humor delivered through fractured voices and avatars across time. Perhaps, when speaking through the voice of past Weavers there was not enough sounds having had been that could articulate the way she would understand, but the empathetic link she shared with them was more telling.  The feelings of dread and anxiety were often tempered with determination she knew herself not to be capable of in her own addled state.
Stalwart Peace must be the way she could describe it, and manage it.  No matter the situation lately, she knew they could not fail, for death meant the end of a journey she had seen far past, but now, tetherless, always drifting she could only see the shadow that was cast just around her and all others by the Uras. Her friends...She shook her head...not able to keep on one train of thought to a conclusion. It frusterated her, whenever she remembered being absent minded.
Considerable skill aside, they should all be dead with the insurmountable odds they were facing, yet, here they were. Plotting the fall of General Maramalde, and allocating the last...
She let out a silent shriek as the memory of that green trimmed horrorscape invaded her mind, how small she felt floating in those Aleph streams confronted by this evil, and something about this mission summoned up those feelings of dread.  This was why she was here, this was why should found them...true evil was trying to manifest itself to destroy that which she loved...Life itself. That stalwart peace only wained when the darkness was near. It was nearer now than it had been since her direct encounter with it in the stream.  Physically, anyway.  Her feet finally felt the hand carved stones under them, they had brought her to the common area of the hideout, where Konstantin and Harec usually spent all of their time.  She had not formerly been aware that she had been moving to a specific location.

"The Fifth Council is already searching for the presence of the last protector, though there seems to be stealth technology cloaking their presence." The human girl had been watching the monitors at Konstantin's request. The cyborg turned from his tinkering to squint at the monitor.

"Da, The Council will not be tricked for long, we need to move now."

"We must find him, let's move." Harec was always near, seeming to come alive when there was a goal at hand, but dwelling on things silently in brooding thought when they were at the hideout.  Iune had not seen him lured out of the serious, terse demeanor.

"The Aleph...is sick." Iune's voice rattled from the corridor which she was approaching from.
They were trying to hoard Aleph.  They were not protecting.  They were stealing.  Uras could be an immune response to the parasitic nature of their ancestors and now to the humans... Could it be?  She couldn't connect the thought, but it seemed to resonate with her.  Was her best friends sick?  Were they a sickness?  What? Where are we going?

"What was that Iune?" Harec asked, turning, his infused eye dimmed with the expression in his brow. She could feel him trying to understand something, but she could not seem to place what he was trying to figure out.

"I was speaking?  We must find the Protector. I will come to see the child, I have seen him...somewhere."  She could see the fractured mural of protectors.  Yes.  A child.

"Somewhere."  She repeated aloud, and then turned to walk towards Cortez's impromptu hangar... Dread infused peace settled into her gut, assured weariness. She had started seeing everything as its own contradiction, and now she felt nothing but contradictions.  The universe was an amazing..terrifying..dull...wonderful place.

So, I kind of want to compile this per mission for each character/cutscene. I'm at work now, and whilst I was thinking about it I was leaving this reminder

Suggestions / Brent's Thread
 on: February 27, 2018, 06:08:18 PM
So, I figured I'd just make an ongoing thread of suggestions (past and future) so not to crowd the board with extra topics from one person.  I can edit this top post with a table of contents, etc. Hah.  I'm not really going to mention known bugs..

General suggestions:
The ability to play with less than 4, or a group of five with a random antagonist. Playing against people you know is super fun. (Or the ability to see the queue as antagonist and CHOOSE who you're going after.)  The ability to jump into a match as Antagonist at any point not just when queue starts if you want to.  (if you can see the lobbies, and antagonist slots, that'd be nifty.)

Antagonist Suggestions:
I'd like to ability to play as Raiders reskinned to typical bad guy elites.

Weapon Suggestions:
A real mid range assault rifle.
Fix existing weapons to compete with power creep. (IE: Daisy, Shit Happens.)

Character Suggestions:
Harec:  Penetration on Conditon (stalk, melee, after reload, etc) to be able to really snipe Fifth Council quickly.  Or a straight damage buff, I suppose.
Aura Mortis charges slower, but begins charging as soon as you zoom, and finishes at same time.
Card that allows a beginning charge of 50% on condition.
Shae: Make the Pulse worth using.
Doldren:
- Fix his ability to surprise npcs since that's his schtick. Maybe lose the generated stress upon teleportation could fix it? Or Lower his stress as the astral ability charges near enemies, giving an opportunity to spot him, and an opportunity to know when he's coming, but not pin point information.
-Fix the Bloody Mary.
Iune: Some Control of Iune's minion
Alicia:
-Fix the Smoking Daisy ( Level9Drow)
Loaht fixes. (Wounded instead of death in beast form.) (Card that grants 50% fury upon wounded state.) (Card that causes explosives to explode on impact.) This is a suggestion because Loaht is consistently underperforming and no one's special hurts them like his does, and several can deal good damage/instant kill.

Class Suggestion:

Skin Suggestions:
-Different Melee progression for higher cost skins. (Reasonably 15-20$ skins since $10 skins should be max to change one asctetic and this is changing 2.) Per price tier the skin needs to change something more in order to satisfy cost vs expectation.  So an eighty dollar skin needs to change everything astetic about a character and add something new.  For instance, Loaht's ability could go into some random monster from a few different options with more things.  These skins have to be epic in every sense of the word and be worth a large investment.  As is, recolors and a few new textures isn't worth forty bucks.
-Customization with different Finishers (Penguin)

Map Suggestions:

Enemy Suggestions: It seems like  the answer to a growing skill base has been to throw more adds.  Which is working..but maybe?
- Mixing in different types of elites or adding elites with preobtained aleph boosts (not just 5) seems like it might have a good effect on all maps not just the handful for Aleph Collection.

Gameplay Feedback / Iune is Great.
 on: February 22, 2018, 08:08:29 PM
So, as new things have come out, and I've got some things and provided some negativity about Doldren's overall kit and concept...I'd like to focus on something that I find absolutely wonderful.

Iune.  Iune is SOO good at this game.  Iune can save you some Aleph by healing Allies, She can control a handful of adds to provide time (and does pretty good damage), she can answer antagonists (or complete dominate them with the right weapon selection).  She can even get a little minion to run around.

The minion is the only thing that needs a little help in her kit.  (I would consider making it auto target the enemy nearest with the same kill all the things attitude as the "Target Orders" that are given.)

But she is so good, and I love her.  She's very good at making things come together.

Suggestions / Weapon
 on: February 20, 2018, 10:23:03 PM
Can i get a character (I assume Ayana?) with a Burst Fire weapon that has good range and no gimmick? (Like Iune's Aleph Gimmick).  I love all the characters, but there are no weapons that don't have horrible fall off damage that don't have a scope attached, crazy damage fall off, or slow projectiles.

Also, please let Harec not reload...The forced reload won't let you dodge roll.  Hah.

Suggestions / Bloody Mary is Usable. Barely.
 on: February 20, 2018, 09:34:43 PM
So the Scale and Location which you shoot is the deciding factor.  Remove one or the other. The location method will reward people with good aim, and the scale will reward people who can be patient.  Pick your favorite and lean in.  Waiting for both to align in a hairy situation is too complex to be usable, considering even at max damage it does less than half of his starting pistol.

The headshot only requirement is what I would prefer, but I could see the scale being good too.  (Defaulting to 50% on a miss.)  I like it being unique and all, but it needs to feel good not clunky for people who grind it out.

Suggestions / Lethality Toggle!
 on: February 20, 2018, 06:48:24 PM
For those Aleph collection missions. Harec and Doldren auto kill with headshots.  Can we make that optional?  Just a suggestions, cause as is, it just means you must bring Shae for the efficiency.

Gameplay Feedback / PS4 Region
 on: February 20, 2018, 06:00:55 PM
I've not seen this post on here, but I decided to message about it.

There is a community of people whom I cannot join or be joined by in the PS4 Lobby, and it takes me to the PS4 Store to download the game I already have.  Is there a way to fix this so I have the option of joining people in other server regions?

Suggestions / 5 Player Lobbies
 on: February 15, 2018, 12:36:38 AM
Queue with 5 and a random player is picked for antagonist? I think it'd be lots of fun to kill my friends. Dunno how the system handles matching, if it's doable.

Let me get into a lobby with 1 to 3 Players if I choose to do that.  Please and thanks!

Suggestions / Solo Challenges!
 on: February 14, 2018, 08:14:11 PM
Maybe pick a map and a difficulty and offer something that is locked behind paywall/grind for solo players once a week.  (Easier to get gun, cheaper skin, or (Maybe?) a character? depending on the difficulty of the challenge.  (Offer gold alternative for those already possessing that item).

So, for instance giveaway Iune if you can solo Enemy Within on Very Hard. or something of the sort. Could even put an attempt cap if your pockets would like it better?

Thought it'd be something engaging to solo players taking a time out from the long queue times to engage with.
