Been trying the new updated beta but still can't seem to get a match. Is there any matchmaking settings that I can do or just have to get lucky to find another player online?

I got the chance to finally try out the beta recently and from the solo aspect, I enjoyed it and really keen on how it goes from there but when it came to co-op, I couldn't seem to get a single game whatsoever.
Is it because I'm outside of the usual online services that the beta provides (I live in Australia btw) or something else? Please let me know.
