So, just to confirm. You're claiming that people are lying (which they would gain nothing from) simply because you haven't had the same experience. Unlike you and your amazing luck, I can definitely confirm that before the (Not So) Ultimate Edition and second campaign were released, I was often waiting twenty to thirty minutes in between every match, even when queuing up for all of them. The longest was around 45 minutes, considering I had the time to watch two full episodes of a show on my PC while waiting.

Even with a team of two or three, spending fifteen minutes is far, faaaaaaar too long a wait for a fifteen to twenty minute mission. That's fine...if you're waiting to do a raid in an MMO or something, but not for this kind of game.

Great job ignoring the problem, Quanrian, just like you do in the Discord chat.

The invitation system, to me, just seems like a way for whoever is in charge to try and force people to trick other people into playing the game. Make characters ridiculously expensive, wait for people to complain, add 'invitations' that'll help them make slightly more gold to expand the playerbase instead of not making the character cost dozens of hours of time or the price of a full game. You've made it clear that you don't care about the crazy amount of grinding since you seem to have a group that's on 24/7 and also infinite invitations to use apparently, but other players don't. For them, the grind is a serious problem (which again, you seem to blame the player for), and a terrible issue for an otherwise amazing game.

That's all? That will stop literally nobody if their intention is to leech off of other players. As the original poster said, the person (whose name was edited out of the post, meaning everyone else will get the joy of being caught unaware) would tap the controller every now and then, preventing them from being kicked. On console, simply placing your remote on the floor in a position where the right stick is being tilted would prevent that, and on PC, I'm sure there's billions of ways to get around that sort of AFK Kick system. I'm still fully in support of a 'Vote to Kick' function, to get rid of these types of players, since it seems that the devs are against making private sessions.

I can't do this anymore I've been a queue with a friend for a hour now and no one is joining. How does anybody expect to play this game if you can't even start a mission.  I would recommend this to other people cause from what I played it's really fun but how can I recommend something when you can't even play it. And I'm not playing single player I enjoy this game with friends.

Just do what someone else is the forum once told me. Just buy another copy of the game, that'll somehow solve your problem...

For real though, I sympathize. I'm in the same boat here. I love the game. It's super fun to play, and I'd love to recommend it more. I recommended it to a friend once, and after spending thirty minutes in a queue, only to join a game where someone repeatedly threw themselves off a cliff in order to force a quick failure and collect a reward, they (for some crazy reason) deleted the game.

Now if only everyone wasn't picking gold all the time in order to afford these ridiculously expensive characters. I'm sure spamming high-gold missions works for people playing with friends, but for us (according to some sentiments I've seen, less valuable) solo players, waiting for a full team makes the grind almost unbearable. Seriously...boy oh boy do I love waiting ten to fifteen minutes to do a ten to twenty minute long mission, just to split the gold three or four ways.

I guess that "automatic system" isn't doing a good job, considering how often it is I see this type of behavior in game. If only there were a system in place for getting rewards based on performance, rather than getting a reward for simply existing on the winning (or losing, for those who purposely waste lives) team.

Or it will lead to people actually making an effort to pull their weight, rather than doing the bare minimum, or even less than that, in the case of those parasites that just join games and do nothing the entire time (but still make sure to grab up their unfair share of the rewards).

Sorry if this has been asked somewhere else, and I just missed it, but I've got a question. Did she say the new characters would be arriving 'in the coming month' or 'in the coming months'?

I am fully on board with players who do more, getting more, and players who do less (or drag the team down) getting less. Just played a round of In Shock that took over twenty minutes, and we had 31 deaths...at least twenty of those deaths being from the guy playing Hans. He would literally just jetpack into the middle of the fray and start shooting, and then complain when we didn't somehow magically save him from the horde he jumped into. Followed by him getting electrocuted and then flying all over the place, sharing the shock with the rest of the team. Of my three deaths, two were because of that. He then got his full share of gold, despite his lack of help in actually completing the mission.

I can at least admit that with the higher bump in players, it no longer takes nearly thirty minutes to find matches like it used to, which helps out with the higher gold rates. Unfortunately, for people like me who have small friends lists (since I only add people I know personally, or have played a ton with) the invitation system is basically useless. Everyone I know either doesn't want to play the game, played it and hated it since it was/is an unfair grind with crazy wait times with a clear incentive to try and force you to pay more real money,  or already owns both campaigns.

Just a note, Shiro, your argument is terrible. It might just be a peeve of mine, since I hate that argument IRL as well, but I feel that "New people shouldn't complain because older people had it worse" (people should always complain if they see a problem, even if the problem isn't as bad as it used to be) is meaningless, especially if the system is still bad.  And again, it's a coop game. Talking down about someone's time to beat a mission means nothing when it's all cooperative. You could be the best player in existence, but that doesn't mean a darn thing if the rest of your team doesn't know how to play. I've spent exorbitant amounts of times on missions because my team kept dying, and I stubbornly just ran around surviving until they were revived.

I just made 100K + of gold in one day, your argument is invalid, so are your maths ^^

I'm curious, were you also being forced to share that gold between three others while also waiting anywhere between fifteen to twenty-five minutes between each mission?

People in this forum seem to be under the belief that if they themselves got lucky and managed to get a lot of gold quickly, that everyone else also must be. Like that picture posted just above my post. Sharing that image as if it's common for any one player to get that much.  Most of the time, it would have been split between the team.

Sounds more to me like you're upset that your "advice" didn't work, and that your words didn't somehow make me ignore the game's glaring issues. I didn't ignore your suggestions, I pointed out how those suggestions either were wrong, wouldn't work, or shouldn't need to be done in the first place, but it seems that you've decided that ignoring people who don't agree with you is the proper response. Step down from that high-horse of yours, and you might see things a bit differently. Quite a few people would like a chance to play the game privately. As Boiler suggested, I'd totally take a reward reduction, since I'm pretty sure that I'd make more gold that way. In the time I could spend waiting for a mission, I could beat the same mission once or twice.

Also, there's no need to try and pretend you didn't use 'buy another copy' as advice, because that was one of your first suggestions. Your suggestions were to: Recruit more people,  trawl the forums for other members, or "The only other solution would be to play the game on a different platform or get the EU version of the client and put up with more latency.", exactly as you said it. Which literally means buy another copy, but on a different system.

I shouldn't need a 'consolation prize' for a game I paid for. Especially not a prize that involves me being forced to buy it a second time, for a chance at getting to play it.

Actually yes, I would 100% expect this from COD or Overwatch...if they were made by an indie developer and their multiplayer campaigns had an actual story and PVE that already had a solo mode installed, but they don't. So don't compare this game to other games that aren't even remotely similar in structure. Oh! Now that I think about it, COD has zombie mode, which is a PVE mode that does, in fact, have a private mode.

I am making noise about it, that's literally what I've been doing. And when I do that, I'm told to buy the game again, but on a different system/region, or I'm not playing it at the right time or search the forums for other people that want to play or...

Scaling is literally what's being asked for when asking for a private mode. Only two people? Scale the mission for two. Three people? Scale for three. Etc, etc. Just let people play the game without waiting a half hour for a fifteen minute mission.  To put it simply, there aren't enough players to facilitate timely matches, and why would anyone bother inviting anyone to a game under those conditions? So them and their buddies can spend twenty minutes hoping more people come along while not playing anything?

If someone said to me, "Hey you wanna play this game? The characters are interesting and the gameplay is fun, but pretty often you have to spend 20-30 minutes waiting in the queue for a match. Oh, and sometimes, people you join will kill themselves immediately to make you lose for quick rewards, or go AFK and there's no way to kick them, and also new skins cost as much as a whole new game, and also if you want new weapons, you need to play the super unbalanced Antagonist mode. On occasion, you won't get any rewards either, or you'll get almost nothing because it's split between the group.", I'd laugh at them.

Argentil, even ten minutes is far too long to wait for a mission that will, at best, take fifteen to twenty minutes to beat. I'm a US PS4 player, but peak times clearly aren't the issue, as I learned yesterday. I tried off and on all day, as I was off of work, and only once did I manage to queue up for a mission in under fifteen minutes. That's abysmal, and could be remedied with a private mode.

You say I should play on another platform? That's ridiculous. I already regret buying the season pass (which is a first for me), and you want me to buy the game again? No thank you. And I shouldn't have to go trawling through forums, desperately seeking more people to play with. There's no incentive to recruit more people, but what there is incentive do to is just not waste my time on the game at all.

Basically, it's as Soul Devour said. The developers want it to be 4V1 at all times...even to the detriment of the player-base. Making a private mode, maybe upping the rewards a bit, not slooooowly releasing characters in an attempt to keep people interested (we all saw the new characters in the trailer, let's not pretend that they couldn't have released them at the same time as the new campaign), and not making skins that cost literally the price of a full game would be a far better method of keeping things going than you trying to convince me to buy the game (which I already slightly regret buying) a second time.

I figured it was something like that, but wasn't certain. Follow up question, however. I could easily just be blind and have been missing it, but is our total mastery shown somewhere?
