Shae must be nerfed in pvp
on: July 27, 2019, 12:58:45 PM
Hello guys, I just wanted to share my experience with all of you about this character...
I was playing in the third mission of the Native Raiders campaign, where you have to find the protector and escort him, using Alicia with smoking daisy equipped. Since the beginning, the Antagonist was able to instalock me in shotgun range (she was using the burst sniper) and kill me in no time. How it can be possible? I mean, in the later phase of the game I was able to "counter her" by releasing Smoking Daisy's clip on her head, but that's still a problem since she makes Herec unuseful because of it. So please, nerf her "aimlock time" in closer ranges at least because that makes her pretty unbalanced to play against!

P.s. Excuse me for some "broken English" phrases, I'm not a mother tongue speaker

Alicia players who come to complaints because someone else can kills him.
you got nerves you know that?
so shae is OP  but smoking daisy who can OS behind cover while you are dancing in the sky pretty untargetable, it's ok for you ?

learn how to fight against shae and wich raider is best against her, and she won't be OP anymore.

I don't care for nerfs, at this point pvp is too broken to balance. But your suggestion to counter pick against a shae doesn't work as a raider since you can't actually see who the antag picks until it's too late. Also a shae has aim bot so she can easily take out a flying alicia.

The way I see it, Harec, beats Doldren. Doldren beats Shae and Shae beats Harec. As Tekato states, you just don't know before hand.
A high level Alicia is everyones nightmare with some levels ideal for her jump, special ability. This badly needs a cooldown.
You're probably, from your description being hit by Shae's second rare - Sa-Dhu. It's a beast, but Shae is one of my mains and unless you have a fast reload card, you'll have problems.

With every mission with an antag you have to play as a team. The minute they appear, team together and take them out. When you do, use their respawn cooldown to complete mission objectives. Like Alicia, some missions are tailor made for Shae. Because of this, added with dreadful matchmaking, there are alot of maps I'll completely avoid. The 'Mouse and the Snake' mission will always pull in Alicia and Shae antagonists.

@tekato.

you "just" have to use your brain and you know that. i hope you know it at least.
on some mission, some characters ARE essentials to counter some antag characters invasion wich could totally ruin the mission.

if these characters are not taken, don't blame antag for your loss... =s

exactly the same for 1 vs 1 : shae is a natural counter to alicia or hans.
and most alicia, rak and hans players just run brainlessly towards antags  shouting, "leave it to me, leave it to me, leave it to me !!!"
and well... they die.

if they can't understand they have to avoid some characters in fight or have some more subtel approach on them, it's not the character who is overpowered but the player who is underpowered.

we all have been wiped by some characters or players, and then we have learn.
well... some have at least.

for example, i'm doldrening a lot to counter antag.
but i know if i'm facing a good harec or a good hive or ayana (for example but any good player can counter doldren in facts), i'll have to make low profil and be really carefull, cause there is chances i'll lose lot of lives if i'm not cautious...
