What's everyone's opinion on a monthly optional subscription to the game?

It honestly just dpeends on what kind of content that could deliver. I can't think of very many subscription games at the moment, other than MMO's like Runescape and WoW, and... FF14? I dunno. This game type doesn't seem suitable for subscription based content, unless you have any examples of shooters that do that?

XP Boosts, Gold Multipliers, Faction Point Multipliers, Discount on Skins, Discount on Campaigns, an Amount of Premium Currency to Spend on Whatever We Wanted, etc and stuff...

I would see that as turning into a "pay 2 win" scenario. Not seeing a good way to make subscription services in an online pvevp that would still keep both free players and 'members'. It's not really a concern in an MMO, but this game is competitive.

I don't think the game has the kind of content amount and delivery necessary for it to be subscription based.
