There was a giveaway a few weeks back on some website. It didn't state the codes were region locked, but I figured out today I redeemed a EU code when I'm in the US. Figured it out after I couldn't log in since US servers were supposed to be open but the EU ones shut down. It also explains why most of my matches had higher ping than other games I play.
Not really sure what to do as I already have the game on Steam, but I can't "unredeem" it or something to redeem a US code instead. For now I'll just deal with it I guess unless someone knows a way I can fix it.
