Since we all faced baby herecs lately i had an idea, most "hero/champion" shooters have that one guy with an assault rifle and a grenade ability, Wouldn't it be great to play as your favorite ace pilot? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

The thing is... who will fly the shuttle if Cortez is shooting? or who will be telling you "overload it with alpeh!"

Ground troop cortez will tell you to "overload it with aleph" though who would pilot the shuttle? ...Aneska will? Idk man i just wanna play as cortez

I dont want cortez as a character, I want a loading screen game to smack cortez around since he is such a passive aggressive pilot in the cutscenes. I think it would be a great stress reliever to just pummel him from time to time. I dont ever expect this to be a thing but I and most of the raiders in the game seem to dislike him

I like Cortez but not enough as a playable character. Plus i think Valeria layed it into him. Cut the guy some slack.

I think the players are better off getting fresh characters since we get enough of him post game.  Maybe they could change his look in new campaigns though, such as making his outfit look cooler so Valeria is actually impressed rather than trying to diss him.
