If the host changes while the antagonist is dead on certain maps this blocks the antagonist from respawning. You can select a camera point at a respawn location but you cannot actually spawn back into the game.
The last happened in the first section of the third alien myths episode.
I had to reconnect to the match to allow myself to respawn.
