In its current state?  No.  I wish it would.  I want more.  I just don't think the typical player wants what its giving, where I do.  It's complex, and it is rewarding with time spent...but sometimes even with all that time spent there is just insurmountable circumstances (Lag/Antag/etc) whatever your own unique little issue is.  This game pushes everyone's buttons.  Either from something not doing what it should, or an intrensic unique quality this game has (antag).  In order to make it palatible you'll have to cater to both groups, making the current player pools smaller, which could kill it all together, but if they risk the advertising first then people may not give them time to correct their mistakes.

I just hope it does, though.

With all of its issues I still hope there is a 2nd season, it’s still at its core a very good game, I find the small playerbase a bit weird, as someone who has 200hs on warframe, I personally find this game to be better in absolutely every single way.

I still can’t believe I only found this game so many months after release,  I guess I was so salty about not getting LOS3 that I stopped caring about anything mercury steam lol, LOS was so good though damn u Konami.

I love what this game has to offer but Woody is right, we all get frustrated with one thing or another. I am extremely patient and stubborn so I just deal with stuff, but obviously you can tell that other people are not, and some get very vocal and angry about a bug, or a feature they don't like, and want it fixed faster than possible or a core game mechanic changed to suit them and spite the rest of the playerbase (speaking for antag mode, of course).

I love the lore and characters, and the story. It's rare to see an exclusively multiplayer game have such a rich story, especially one with such little content. Warframe put out content first, story later, so kinda the opposite in that regard. But story is something Raiders does very well, and I want more. I am just always worried about the low playerbase, low retention rate, and gaps in communication. If I don't hear much from anyone dev-side for a while, I assume it's either because they are close to something big and are too busy working (like when they dropped the Hades bomb on us), or that things are not going so well.

Yea this game does kick ass. It's not often you find unique gems like this one among the sea of commercial clones form companies too afraid to try something new and original. The last REALLY kick ass game like this one was Evolve, and the game itself was so badass, but the marketing and microtransactions killed it. This is sad, because when Evolve died it meant other developers would be afraid to try something new.

Just to be clear, the creative team for Evolve and the developers did a GREAT job and didn't do anything wrong, Turtlerock was a sold and creative team. What ruined Evolve was the greedy bastards at 2K games. This is the real tragedy behind what of the most originaly and badass games I've seen in year.

I've said this before, I don't want to see this game go down the same path, because then it means there just really isn't anything else intriguing to play. I would say that MSE should take a page from Evolve and don't fall under the same trap they did when 2K forced them to. I hope MSE have a person or 2 that study this sort of thing and see what happen to Evolve. My armchair advice would be to WATCH THE MICROTRANSACTIONS and focus hard on a fun progression system.

Rather than a second season, I would love to see additional game modes.

4v4: Capture/Hold the objective

Capture the Aleph - RotBP version of capture the flag

Endless modes - Something like Low Blow with a huge hoard in wavs progressively getting worse

Pass the Aleph(4v4): a 5 stack of Aleph is all that is available at any given time. Take it from the other team, or a kill spawns a 5 Aleph elite.

Oh, and with the latest forge update.. how about multiple builds/loadouts of the same weapon??

The missions in RotBP are heavily tied to the story. I'm nost sure game modes like CtF, KotH and the like would have a place in a game so radically different from standard FPS games. they would need some very obvious story-line connection, and I don't mean half assed like Overwatch and their maps, but something really evident and part of the mission. If they did this, then I could see any mode as viable.

Well since we got the big Lovecraft squid in the sky you could get around it saying that Uras is making a big incursion on the broken planet, sending his acolytes to capture strategic locations and the Raiders need to rally to push him back. Uras can give commentary on his side while Cortez or the Protectors can give commentary on the Raiders side.

Since there's a big part of the community that is not PvP enthusiast; i think it's a nice idea to add co-op competitions too, by that i mean groups of raiders playing against each other but not killing each other.

For example we could get teams of 4 raiders divided into 2 couples for a match, and have them play endless mode to see what couple kills the most enemies; or who survives longer in a survival mode, or who can gather the most aleph into a container, maybe having two targets to defend/escort and see who manages to defend longer or get the scorted to its destination first.

Regarding the bond between missions and story i wouldn't be worried, they have proven to be up to the task in terms of creativity, so they can figure things out easily

I was feeling really hopeful that with the release of Hades Betrayel and the tweaks they made to the progression system that it had righted the ship and tipped the scales torwards getting alot more people involved. I am with you guys on this, Raiders has a fascinating universe with extremely well designed characters, I hope like the rest of you MS can continue to expand on the game after the last campaign is released. :)

*Possible Spoiler*
According to the cut scenes at the end of each campaign, it seems like they're going to be introducing a new possible enemy group to the game. Who knows what kinds of content Mercury Steam could toss our way once the last campaign is released. If they bust through that portal and start invading the broken planet, it could allow for a whole new series of campaigns or game modes like holding ground and keeping the Old Guard (that's what I'll call them for now) from holding objectives. Endless onslaught of the Old Guard coming through the portal with a survival objective for the raiders. So, there's different game modes as well as campaign possibilities that don't seem contrived but supported by the story (which seems to be something they like to maintain with the skins and content - that is to say, it all correlates somehow). I'm excited for the end of the first season, because I think the developers are being really smart with busting the story wide open, not only for the progression therein to continue in epic directions, but also allow for more content and game modes. If we, the player base, hold fast and trust that they'll keep moving in positive directions after listening to all of us (and we have every reason to believe they will after the Hades Betrayal expansion), and maybe toss them a couple of bucks now and then (think of it like a Kickstarter Campaign), I think Raiders of the Broken Planet will become what we're all hoping it will become, and we'll all ride that magic unicorn through the happy clouds of gaming history.

+1 to the unicorn riding thing but.... What if second season is about invading earth? Because Harec is trying to kick out humans back to their planet what if the other agressive locals end up in earth? I think it would be cool to see how earth is according to mercurys vision.
I havent read all of the lore but there is one for Alicia that really made me think of visiting earth at least in a campaign.
