I don't think it takes that long. It used to be twice that, and even then it was a week or so.

I was like 70k short and farmed that up in a couple of hours. They want to have a clear progression of characters you buy, there's cheap ones (like Hans and Kuzmann) and more expensive ones. I don't like 180k raiders either because I have guns to build, but it's a lot easier to farm up that much gold than it used to be. The bigger issue at high level, is everything costs so much, so the gold grind feels never ending.... but still not all that long to be able to afford something.

I have the same issue. I have guns top build and, although it won;t take horribly long to grind the cost for a new character, I have a TON of blueprints to build still. Plus I always spend money on lore to. I think the blueprints should be cheaper a but. But the price for new character, I feel, is fine. Characters are a big deal.

Tangent: Ugh, I hate the losses. Especially when you solo-queue. You get a bunch of level 1 to 10 and lose even though you don't dies once and do all the objectives. I haven't played with my usually group because they've all moved on or seldom play, so I'm mostly solo. And because of it, and the fact that I am a peaceful antagonists, my MMR is 29%. And that isn't a good thing, because you are cut off from the more experienced players with higher MMR. Keep in mind, my MMR used to float around 40%, but between solo queue, R&R, baby harecs and peaceful antagonizing it's gone to pot. I'm trying to build a consistent group again. And before any of you say, "Git Gud" many of you have played with me before, I'm not a total inept and also hardly die in these games and carry the lowbies through survive mode and complete most of the objectives. There's little I can do about who I am matched with.

I didnt expect Rak to cost 180,000 because he has an even lower level requirement than Schneider does. I was sitting at 30k 2 days before he dropped and scrounged the gold up over the next 2 days to buy him. Its time consuming but worth it.

And how much of the day did you then spent on it?
I know if i spent my 6 free hours a day on it, i will have about 30.000 gold. But it is rare i get that chance for a multitude of reasons.
So i'll probably get 15-24.000 gold a day which in of itself is not bad.
But when you have BPs piling up and you want to try out the other character too, the grind becomes overwhelming.
Most people have 3-8 hourse a day for games in my country, and if we say a typical mission takes about 20 min, it is not gonna be much gold.

I got Doldren for 180,000 gold. Took 3-4 days, but it was worth the grind. There really aren't that many raiders tbh. With 90 hrs of playtime, I've unlocked all the raiders in their basic form, minus 3 of them, which I'm currently working to unlock.
