Reward Screens & Grind levels
on: May 13, 2019, 05:38:00 AM
I can't be the only one getting frustrated at having to sit through the "Featured player", "Scores and rewards", loading screens for a cut scene you'll skip and then the "XP Screen" as each value clocks up?

Can we not just press X/A/Enter and skip the whole tallying up and jump straight to the totals and then the main menu again so we can begin a new mission? I mean the whole game once you hit around level 75 becomes nothing but grind, grind, grind for gold to unlock new characters or build new guns and then there's the ridiculous waiting times for Matchmaking... why force us to endure MORE time wasting that ISN'T playing or enjoying the game? Pleases let us skip the stats and rewards!

Also, is it just me or are there less one-time rewards from tier 2? I recently tiered up to T2 and I'm getting maybe 2 One-time golds, 1 one-time faction and 1 (usually blue) blueprints. I'm grinding to unlock new characters costing 144k-180k and barely making 10k a day with these wait times and rewards. I was absolutely hooked on this game, getting all my friends into it too, up until 48 hours ago when it became clear that this isn't an enjoyable grind anymore. 180k per character, 70k+ for a Forge 9/10 weapon and struggling to make 10k a day with the current reward system? Almost three weeks to unlock a new character? The game has been open the whole time I've been on the forums "matchmaking" too, this is how long it's taking to find a match.

Hmm... Yeah... the more I type, the more it feels like I'm done with the game. Got burnt with the starter pack with missing items, bought Points to build The Whip which was then nerfed to the point where it is utterly useless meaning I wasted real money on a weapon I'll never use again, forced to sit through screens I don't want to see just to see totals and an unbalanced grind system...

one time rewards set your missions for "medium" rewards after repeated completion so having less one time  gives you more missions to farm "very high" a difference of 500 gold or so... there 3 rotations: 24h, 12h and 8h. 24h probably has every mission with one time but you have 90% of them locked due to level.  at 8h you get like 3-4 one times out of 17 and rest are "very high" both gold and coin, lets you grind those stages for more value. basically at 8h you get same gold for grinding half a day as compared to doing one times in 24h for a hour or two... its weird like that. you also get less rewards for time spent grinding high MMR compared to low MMR while i cannot get 2 out of 3 8h rotations due to life

As a legacy player, I like the faster reward report screen implemented in the last update, though. Sometimes, I do not even look at Cortez's score screen, so it helps me figure out what I get from the last game.

However, I do not mind getting rid of the reward report screen completely.

That's kind of my point. 500 gold on top of say an average of 2.5k, when you're farming trying to get 180k+ Rare weapon cost... That's still a ridiculously long time. Too long. And I don't even have time to get all of them at 12h rotations with a real life. I'm not playing a game for 8+ hours at a time, every day, just to spend two-three weeks trying to earn enough to unlock a new character + weapon given that the rate is affected by how quick the matchmaking is (SLOOOOOOW), how good the team mates are (50/50) and whether or not you've been dumped in with a 200+ Antagonist when your party's levels combined don't even break 100. That's Battlefront 2 Vader unlock levels of unreal.

There might be more one-time rewards at lower tiers but I was definitely earning more gold in one gaming session back then than I am now... How is that even logical? It isn't balanced at all.
